BIOGRAPHY

Bill's musical journey began when he started clarinet lessons at the age of 8.  He added the saxophone while in high school and continued to play them through college.  He took up the piano as a young adult and it became his primary instrument. Since concluding his career as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry 20 plus years ago, he has been able to devote his time to music, which was always his true passion.  During this time, his interests have branched out to other instruments and many different genres of music but always with a focus on jazz and creativity.

Through the years, he has been a student at Peabody Conservatory, the Dick Grove School of Music and the California Jazz Conservatory in addition to private studies.  He has performed in a variety of settings including church, musical theatre, big band, small ensembles and solo piano doing a wide range of musical styles ranging from country, rock and R&B to straight ahead and Latin jazz.

In the past, he has performed with multiple local groups including Rhythm Club (playing piano), Oceans 3 (playing piano), String Thing (playing piano), The Caroll Tuttle Trio (playing upright bass), Coyote Hill (playing keyboards and sax), DrumSum (playing keyboards) and Rhonda Lynn and Edgewood Station (playing keyboards and sax).
